Don't you just love those quilts from the 30's!  Join our quarterly club and learn more about making quilts with the vintage look that our mothers and grandmothers made.  Each quarter we will get together for a trunk show of new samples, new ideas, tips and techniques, handouts, show and tell, refreshments and a good time. Bring a friend and make some new ones.  During each session you will receive a 20% discount on 30’s fabrics and featured patterns.  Club Fee $20. for 2010.

If you love the fabric and the little quilts designed by Jo Morton, join Jenise (on Wednesday evenings) and Kathy (on Friday mornings) for a delightful couple of hours of quiltmaking fun, surprises and fellowship. Jenise and Kathy will guide you as you stitch these wonderful quilts designed for Jo's Little Women - designed for YOU!  During each session you will receive a 20% discount on Jo’s fabrics, patterns and books.  Machine piecing & rotary cutting experience required.  Club Fee for Aug. to Dec. $35.

Kansas Troubles Stash Society – Kelly Ashton

Session #4 – Wed., Oct. 13 – 6:30-7:30

The KTQ Stash Society continues at Prairie Point on a quarterly basis.  Lynne’s fabric easily crosses over from one line to the next, so one of the goals of the KT Stash Society is to encourage quilters to use their stash in new projects while adding to it as new KTQ fabric lines emerge.  As part of KT Stash Society, participants will receive newsletters, patterns and awesome "stash" (equivalent to ½ yd) at each quarterly meeting.  The meetings will be a time for new samples to be shown, demonstrations, refreshments and sharing show and tell.  Come and get inspired with Lynne’s beautiful fabrics.  During each session you will receive a 20% discount on Kansas Trouble’s fabric, patterns and books.  Club fee for each quarterly session is $12. or $40. for 2010.

Forget about planning; forget about rulers. We're going to spend a year talking about the impulsive quilt, the found fabric, the found color scheme and how to have a lot of fun in a fabric store. In each quarterly club meeting we'll focus on a principle of intuitive quiltmaking. We'll talk about a style of working, such as thinking in modules, making the best of a bad situation and free cutting with patterns that incorporate each principle. Our inspiration will be the quilts of Gee's Bend, Maverick Quilts, various free-form quilts and a few fortunate accidents. We don't sew in class, we just discuss and you're invited to bring your vintage quilts and your own impulsive pieces.  During each session you will receive a 20% discount on Barbara’s fabrics, patterns and books.  Club Fee $12 per session.

Scrap Happy Quilters – Pat Moore

Wed., Sept. 22, & Nov. 17 – 6:00-8:30

Is your sewing space being over run with those irresistible charm squares?  If so, join our Scrap Happy Quilters Club.  During 2010, we will again be making quilts using the book "More Nickel Quilts" by Pat Spaeth, by exchanging 5" squares each meeting to make a specific project:  September – Mystery Flower Garden, November – Disappearing Nine Patch.  Machine piecing & rotary cutting experience required.  Book Fee $27.95 less 20%.  During each session you will receive a 20% discount on fabric.  Club Fee $35.
