Kilts & Quilts by Patience Griffin

This BOM program begins in February 2020 and features Northcott’s Banyan Batiks fabrics and is inspired by the Kilts & Quilts novels by Patience Griffin. The quilt finishes at 86” x 106”. Each of the 12 monthly kits will be $20. You’ll also receive a free spool of Aurifil thread in your first month’s kit.

Month 1 — February, and Month 2 — March. When cutting squares for the half-square triangles, cut the fabric pieces 1/8” larger than instructed on the pattern. Use your Bloc-Loc ruler, Tucker Trimmer, or a small Creative Grids to square them up. They should measure at 3-1/2”. The final block should measure 12-1/2”. The small blocks are made with the same fabrics, but feel free to mix the colors up a bit if the fabric amounts allow. Look for the spool of Aurifil thread in month 3.
Month 3 — April and Month 4 — May. I promise the thread will be in May’s kit! We’re a little off-kilter here at the shop these days. Thank you for understanding. Wendy should have the quilt quilted sometime soon. I’ll let you know through email and Facebook when we can get it in for display in the shop.
Month 5 — June and Month 6 — July. How is it going? Have you seen our quilt on display on the classroom wall? It looks beautiful! We still have a few openings left for Kilts & Quilts.
Month 7 — August and Month 8 — September.
